Terms of Use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download and use Subtle on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal subscription tracking. You may not resell, redistribute, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the app’s source or bundled data, except where such restriction is prohibited by law.

Subtle helps you record and visualise the subscriptions you tell it about. It is an informational and organisational tool only. It is not a bank, payment processor, accountant, or financial adviser, and nothing in the app constitutes financial advice. Decisions about your money remain yours.

The app provides step-by-step guides describing how to cancel certain services. These guides are informational and provided in good faith.

• Subtle never cancels a subscription on your behalf and never contacts a service for you. It only shows you how to do it yourself.
• Service providers change their cancellation steps over time. Always confirm the current process with the provider directly.
• We are not responsible for the outcome of any cancellation, including charges that occur before or after you cancel.

Exchange rates are retrieved from a third-party public source (open.er-api.com) and provided for convenience and estimation only. Rates may be delayed or inaccurate and should not be relied upon for accounting, tax, or any decision of record.

• You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, including amounts, dates, and billing cycles.
• Reminders are scheduled locally and depend on your device’s notification settings and power state; treat them as helpful nudges, not guarantees.
• You are responsible for maintaining your own device and iCloud backups.

Service names, logos, and trademarks shown in Subtle belong to their respective owners and are used only to help you identify the subscriptions you track. Subtle and NorthStudio are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these services.

Subtle is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NorthStudio will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any missed cancellation, unexpected charge, or financial loss, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

We may update the app and these terms from time to time. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version.
