Data Deletion

Last updated · 24 July 2026

Subtle is built privacy-first, so there is very little to delete: your subscription data never leaves your device and your own iCloud account, and we run no servers that store your content. This page explains what data exists, how to remove it, and how to request deletion of anything associated with your use of Subtle.

What data exists, and where

  • Your subscriptions — names, amounts, dates, categories, notes, icons and photos — are stored on your device and, if you enable iCloud sync, in your own private iCloud database. NorthStudio keeps no server-side copy and cannot see this data.
  • Screenshot scanning runs entirely on your device. Images and recognized text never leave it.
  • We collect anonymous, aggregated usage analytics (via Meta, Firebase, and Mixpanel) to improve the app. These events are not linked to your identity and never contain your subscription names, amounts, or notes.
  • Ad measurement uses Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork — there is no IDFA and no cross-app profile of you.

Delete your data yourself (instant)

  • Delete a subscription, or all of them, inside the app — this removes it from your device and your iCloud database.
  • Turn off analytics any time in Settings → Analytics. With it off, no further analytics events are sent.
  • Delete the app and turn off its iCloud sync (Settings → Apple ID → iCloud) to remove the on-device and iCloud copies entirely.

Request deletion from us

Because your content stays on your device and in your private iCloud, we do not hold it and cannot delete it on your behalf. For the anonymous analytics events described above, or any other data you believe is associated with your use of Subtle, email us at support@northstud.io with the subject “Data deletion request.” We will action it and confirm within 30 days.
